I am an Integrative CBT Counsellor / Psychotherapist, with considerable life experience. I’ve worked at senior level in corporations and understand the difficulties that can arise in the workplace. Additionally, I have a grown up family who have flown the nest, and know the many challenges being a parent, and particularly a working parent, can bring. Additionally, I’ve helped my own family through turbulent teenage years and the difficulties of getting through key stages of life, including studying and leaving home. Don’t struggle in silence, I’m here to help.

Have you reached this website because you are interested in learning more about CBT counselling? Or maybe you or someone close to you is going through a hard time and would like help? The website is here to help you find valuable information about how CBT works and the various issues it can help with.

CBT is one of the only counselling therapies available on the NHS, because it is scientifically deemed to be the quickest and most effective way of treating people with mental health and related issues. Please have a good browse around this site, there are suggestions here that might help you immediately, such as behavioural changes, which can have a dramatic and positive impact on people with depression.

You may be noticing that you are having difficult emotions, such as feeling anxious, depressed, or angry. Do you find yourself worrying too much, over-thinking or have you adopted unhealthy behavioural patterns, such as addictions or compulsions? Lockdown has affected many people in these ways and people have been under enormous pressure in different ways, such as home-schooling, or having to work from home or online. It’s not surprising mental health problems are on the rise. The good news is that CBT can help with all these things.

If you think you may need help because life has been getting you down for some time now, or you are experiencing other mental disturbances, such as intrusive thoughts, panic attacks or anything that is holding you back from having a good quality of life then I urge you to make an appointment for a free 10-minute telephone assessment with me. The main recurring thing I hear from clients is that they wished they’d picked up the phone earlier, don’t let that person be you. Make an appointment and you’ll soon know if CBT counselling is for you.

Please drop me an email jean@cbt-rebt-counselling.co.uk or text me to arrange a suitable time to talk. The first free 10-minute consultation will be by phone, and thereafter mainly on Zoom, which it transpires is a remarkably effective way of counselling. I also offer face-to-face appointments in Beaconsfield.
